What Does Conservation Mean to You?
This, we think, will be an invigorating and challenging contest. How does a person capture conservation/stewardship in a photo? We hope you’ll show us!
Anything conservation-related and could range from water, soil, alternative energy, and forestry to farming/range practices, landscaping, beneficial bugs, gray water systems, composting, or an innovative new practice/technique. We encourage participants to get creative with their conservation topics!
Adult Division: Professional, Novice, Amateur. Youth Division: 6-12 years and 12-18 years of age. Winners in each division will be announced and receive special recognition at the District’s Annual Banquet to be held in October. Winners will also receive a prize.
Acceptable media is a color or black & white 3” x 5” photo, 4”x 6” photo, or a 5” x 7” photo and an electronic file if possible (preferably under 3 mb). Participants must fill out and submit the Photo Release Form with their photo. Photos may be displayed on the District’s website and/or Facebook page; photographers will be credited. The District may use photos to promote future contests.
The contest will run from May 2 to September 30. Photos must be taken in Gallatin County.
