Education and Outreach Center

We have made great progress at the Education and Outreach (E&O) Center. In 2013 we excavated the lots, brought in native topsoil, installed the irrigation system, poured concrete, planted the xeriscape yard, installed low-moisture sod, installed the perimeter fence, and installed the granite path.

In 2014 the greenhouse was erected, pollinator garden planted, and we are still working on the composite deck, beneficial grasses/forbs/sedges, solar path lights, side-paths, and the storage shed installed.

The grants we have received to date include an HB 223 grant in the amount of $10,000 from the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Service. In February 2014, we were awarded a NATIONAL GRANT in the amount of $10,000 from the NCF/NACD Presidents Award. We have received tremendous support from the community also.
