RRGL (Renewable Resource Grant and Loan Program) Planning Grant

Funding for project planning grants was authorized by the 1999 Montana Legislature to facilitate the development of renewable resource projects. This program’s intent is to financially assist public entities in the planning and development of renewable resource grant applications for projects that measurably conserve, develop, manage, or protect Montana’s renewable resources.

This grant can be used only to pay for DNRC-approved contracted services necessary to plan a renewable resource project.

Planning grant limit is $10,000.00.

RRGL (Renewable Resource Grant Program) Grant 

Projects that conserve, manage, develop or protect Montana’s renewable resources are eligible for funding. Numerous public facility projects including drinking water, wastewater and solid waste development and improvement projects have received funding through this program. Other renewable resource projects that have been funded include irrigation rehabilitation, dam repair, soil and water conservation and forest enhancement.

Grant limit is $100,000.00 and applications are due on or before May 15th of even numbered years.

Other Resource Projects Application (for all other projects; stream restoration, forestry rehabilitation, public parks, etc, etc)
