Grants & Loans
The Gallatin CD has the ability to apply for grants for various natural resource-based projects through the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC). DNRC is the partner agency for Conservation Districts and administers State grant funds.
Groups, 501(c), or other agencies can partner with the Gallatin CD on projects and apply for grants. Grants would be administered by the Gallatin CD. Any party interested in a grant program is encouraged to work with the CD on project ideas, partner opportunities, and resource benefit prior to beginning a project. The CD prefers to be actively involved in proposed grant projects and potential grants should align with the CD’s mission. Applicants should have a federal tax ID, workers compensation (or appropriate exemption) and depending on the project, business insurance.
