Small Acreage Management Program

With the growing number of small acreage properties in Gallatin County, the Gallatin Conservation District has recognized the need for education to promote the conservation and management of all lands.

We provide free on-site small acreage landowner consultations which includes weed identification & control, grasses/grazing, confinement areas, which wwater resources, soil recomendations, and we can assiste with a management plan to fit individual landowner needs. We also provide technical assistance (including presentations, workshop, phone and email) to landowners on a wide variety of subjects ranging from grazing management and soil health to noxious weed control, water and forest health and various topics in between.
